Deputy Program Manager - #1811415
Saab's Surveillance Systems division in East Syracuse, NY is seeking a dynamic, results-oriented Program Manager (PM)/ Deputy PM, for our Surveillance Defense programs. The successful candidate will apply demonstrated knowledge of program/project management principles and concepts to resolve a variety of issues. To be successful in this role you must demonstrate proficiency across a range of program management, process improvement, project management, and leadership skills.
Responsibilities will include but may not be limited to the following:
Develop and manage program priorities.
Develop budgets and schedules.
Support Development and execution of program plans.
Support engineering, manufacturing, subcontract management and purchasing.
Support resource planning.
Ensure compliance with company SOPs.
Interface with Contracts, Finance, CM, QA, and purchasing organizations across multiple Saab sites.
Manage a multitude of support activities that may stem across multiple programs.
Generate, track and maintain project action items and risks.
Skills and Experience:
Bachelor's degree required; preferably in Business, Engineering or other related discipline.
Master's degree/MBA preferred.
3+ years of relevant experience, preferably in program/ project management.
Experience with DoD programs (both Operations and Engineering) is strongly preferred.
Proficient with Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, Visio, Project, PowerPoint).
Strong oral and written communication skills.
Excellent organization and time management skills, attention to detail while tracking multiple interdependent functions, and ability to follow-up action items and requests.
Must be self-motivated, enthusiastic, possess a strong work ethic and constant desire to learn.
Must be a problem solver and use analytical thinking.
Ability to effectively multi-task and work well in a fast-paced environment.
Quality and improvement focused.
Strong business acumen and ability to work well with various levels of people in the organization.
